5. "POWER ON/OFF" switch and + 230 V power supply light
In operation, this switch must be set to "ON". The power on/off control must be
provided solely from the Channel Control Unit.
This switch is used to cut off the power supply to the camera head:
• before connecting the "Camera head - Channel Control Unit" interconnecting cable,
• before extracting or reinserting printed circuit boards during maintenance operations.
When this switch is set to "OFF", a power supply in the Channel Control Unit provides
the voltage required for operation of the intercom connecting the Cameraman to the
Technical Control Room (ENG).
In the "POWER ON/OFF" to ON mode, the green light lights and indicates presence of
the + 230 V supply on the triaxial cable.
If the indicator light remains off, check:
• that the "Channel Control Unit to Camera" connection is correctly made,
• that power is applied to the Channel Control Unit.
