1.2.1.2.2 - Connection of slave control panel(s)
The OCP panel(s) is (are) connected to the "RCP" connector of the Camera Control Unit.
It is then said that this (these) is (are) the slave(s) of the Channel Control.
The most distant control panel from the Camera Control must be the sole panel to close the
SMPTE link on a load of 150 Ohms.
In its maximum configuration, a CCU can be fitted with 3 OCP control panels.
1.2.1.2.3 - Control panel power supplies
The 11 V DC to 14 V DC supply can be provided by:
• CCU 1685: the RCP POWER OUT or the RCP connector (CCU rear panel), when only
one control panel is used. In other cases, several external "PPU" units (PANEL
POWER UNIT), each capable of supplying 8 consoles, must be used.
• CCU 1686: the RCP connector (CCU rear panel), when only one control panel is used.
In other cases, several external "PPU" units (PANEL POWER UNIT), each capable of
supplying 8 consoles, must be used.
The "PPU" unit must be used if the distance between CCU and OCP is superior to
100 metres. Refer to 2.6.4 Control panel power supplies paragraph.
