2.6.2 - Numbering of panels, choice of priority
In its maximum configuration, a Channel Control Unit can be fitted with 3 OCP.
If several OCP are connected on a CCU, these must have differents numbers and priority.
Refer to the OCP manual.
2.6.3 - Impedance matching
Only the most distant control panel from the Channel Control Unit is to be terminated in
150
Ω.
2.6.4 - Control panel power supplies
If an equipment is used with only one control panel, use the "RCP POWER OUT"
(CCU1685) or RCP (CCU1685/1686) receptacle of the Channel Control Unit to supply the
control panel (13 volt output). If the RCP receptacle is used refer to the 2.6.1 -OCP CCU
link cable paragraph.
If several control panels are used, one or more PPU’s (2 x 4 "12 Volt" outputs) to supply
the control panels.
If the distance between the PPU and the control panel is very long, it will be necessary to
increase the PPU output voltages (internal adjustments) to compensate for voltage drops in
the interconnecting cable.
The value required at the control panel is 12 V
+ 2 V - 1 V
.
2.6.5 - Connection of a control panel to the front panel of the channel
control unit
• Version 0 APCM:
Connect the control unit to the "AUX RCP" connector on the front of the Channel Control
Unit APCM board, making sure to set the "LOOP/150 Ohm" switch to the 150 Ohm posi-
tion.
NOTE : The OCP power supply is not delivred on this receptacle.
• Version 1 APCM
There is not conector on the front panel.
