Magnet fixture as viewed from underneath

Pick up the rack and lay it on its side.

Prepare the instrument for diagnosis (see chapter 5.4.2).

If necessary press <ê> several times until

The sample changer runs through its start routine (initializing lift and rack positions). The
initialization is important because it is vital for the following diagnosis step “rack code test“
that the rack is in the basic position (beaker 1 at tower 1).

Prepare instrument for diagnosis (see chapter 5.4.2).

If necessary press <ê> several times until

The test reads the code continuously and displays it immediately. For representation on the
screen a 6-place bit pattern is provided (code ??????). The first position is for magnet no.
1, the second position for magnet no. 2, etc. If a magnet is recognized, a “1” is written into
the corresponding position, otherwise a “0” is assigned.

Position all racks which are used one after the other and com-
pare the notes made before the test with the information on the
display.

The test can be stopped by pressing the <QUIT> or <STOP>
keys.
