5.3 - RECORDING

5.3.1 - Start and end of recording command

Command start of recording by pressing the "VTR" button on the camera or the "VTR"
button on the lens.

• The tape feeds.

• The viewfinder "REC" light comes on.

Command end of recording by pressing one of the "VTR" buttons again.

5.3.2 - Luminance signal check during recording

Keep the lens "RET" button pressed down. The playback picture appears on the viewfinder
screen. The audio 1 and 2 channel playback sound can also be monitored, if the
"MONITOR SELECT NG/AFM" is set to LNG.

5.3.3 - Chrominance signal check during recording

Keep the "CTDM PB" button on the recorder and the "RET" button on the lens pressed
down. The compressed chrominance playback signals appear in black and white on the
viewfinder screen.

5.3.4 - TIME CODE, User Bit (U-BIT) and REAL TIME and frame

counter (CTL) check

Display of these parameters can be commanded during recording:

• TIME CODE: set "DISPLAY SELECT" to TC,

• U-BIT: set "DISPLAY SELECT" to U-BIT,

• REAL TIME: set "DISPLAY SELECT" to U-BIT.

Press "DISPLAY HOLD",

• CTL: set "DISPLAY SELECT" to CTL.
