2.1.4 - Matching of C

R

and C

B

signals to BETACAM standard

UER Standard (N10): the peak-to-peak amplitude of the C

R

and C

B

signals is

0.7 V/75 Ohms for a 100/0/100/0 bar pattern (i.e., 0.525 V for a 100/0/75/0 bar pattern).

Normally cameras are delivered to the UER standard.

BETA standard: the peak-to-peak amplitude of the C

R

and C

B

signals is 0.7/75 Ohms for

a 100/0/75/0 bar pattern (i.e.: 0.933 V for a 100/0/100/0 bar pattern).

The matching operation below is to be performed by qualified personnel only.

To match the C

R

and C

B

signals to the BETACAM standard:

• unscrew the 4 screws attaching the left door of the camera,

• remove the "DIGITAL PROCESS" board.

NOTE: Two "DIGITAL PROCESS" PCB versions fit the camera. The 2

nd

versions are

fitted with a daugther PCB.

- PCB version 1 (DP) (without daughter PCB):

On the "DIGITAL PROCESS" board, unsolder the following resistors

(0 Ohm):

- R748 and R752 for C

R

,

- R788 and R792 for C

B

.

- PCB version 2 (DP1 or DP2) (with daughter PCB):

On the "DIGITAL PROCESS" board, unsolder the following resistors

(0 Ohm):

- R255 and R261 for C

R

,

- R328 and R331 for C

B

.
