1 - Zoom electrical remote control connector

The electrical control has no effect in the zoom manual mode - see zoom control mode.

2 - Zoom electrical control - (active in zoom SERVO mode)

W: wide angle - T: tele-lens
The field angle variation rate depends on the pressure applied to this control.

3 - "MOM. IRIS AUTO" switch (Iris automatic - momentary mode)

When this button is pressed, the lens aperture is slaved to subject illumination.

4 - "AUTO/MAN" switch

- AUTO: Aperture automatically adjusted according to subject illumination.

- MAN: Automatic adjustment of lens aperture using the Iris ring.

Even in the MAN position, the Iris aperture is set to AUTO during the operational
automatic adjustments:

-white automatic balance: the Iris opens to obtain a more or less nominal video level
at the output from the camera,
-black automatic balance: the Iris closes. The Iris remains closed after adjustment if
the switch is set to MAN.

5 - Zoom control mode

Pulled-out position: MANUAL mode. The zoom is controlled by the zoom ring.
Pushed-in position: SERVO mode. The zoom control is made by the electrical control on
the lens and/or zoom electrical remote control.

6 - Grip

7 - "RET" button - to control display of return video on the viewfinder screen.

This video may be:

- in the ENG mode, the video recorder playback video,

- in the EFP or studio mode, the return control room video.

8 - "VTR" button

This control is connected in parallel with the camera "VTR" button.

- In the ENG mode (video recorder on camera or remoted with a CA25): press this

button to start recording. Press the button again to end recording.

- In EFP CA85 mode: this button permits the cameraman to switch the CAM audio

link to PROD if the "ENG REMOTE PROD" selector switch on the back of the CA85
is set to "REMOTE".

- In the EFP CA25 mode: this button permits the cameraman to call the producer or

technician.
