MAINTENANCE
Your memory camcorder is a product of superior design and
craftsmanship and should be treated with care.
The suggestions below will help you fulfi ll any warranty obligations and
allow you to enjoy this product for many years.
✪ For safekeeping of the memory camcorder, turn off the memory camcorder.
- Remove the battery pack and AC power adaptor. ➥page 13
- Remove the memory card. ➥page 32
Cautions on Storing
Do not leave the memory camcorder in a place where the
temperature is very high for a long period of time:
The temperature inside a closed vehicle or trunk can become very high
in a hot season. If you leave the memory camcorder in such a place,
it could malfunction or the case could be damaged. Do not expose the
memory camcorder to direct sunlight or place it near a heater.
Do not store the memory camcorder in a place where the
humidity is high or in a dusty place:
Dust entering the memory camcorder could cause malfunctions.
If humidity is high, the lens could become moldy, and the memory
camcorder could become inoperative. It is recommended that
you put the memory camcorder in a box together with a desiccant
when storing it in a closet, etc.
Do not store the memory camcorder in a place subject to
strong magnetism or intense vibrations:
This could cause malfunctions.
Detach the battery pack from the memory camcorder and store
it in a cool place:
Leaving the battery pack attached or storing it at high temperature
could shorten its life.
Cleaning the memory camcorder
✪ Before cleaning, turn off the memory camcorder and remove
the battery pack and AC power adapter.
To clean the exterior
Wipe gently with a soft dry cloth. Do not apply excessive force
when cleaning, gently rub the surface.
- Do not use benzene or thinner to clean the camcorder. The
coating of exterior could peel off or the case could deteriorate.

Mises en garde concernant le rangement
Évitez de ranger le caméscope numérique dans un endroit où
la température demeure élevée pendant longtemps :
TLa température à l'intérieur ou dans le coffre d'un véhicule peut devenir
très élevée en saison chaude. Si vous rangez le caméscope numérique
dans un tel endroit, il peut mal fonctionner ou cela peut endommager le
boîtier. N’exposez pas le caméscope numérique à la lumière directe du
soleil et ne le placez pas près d’un appareil de chauffage.
Évitez de ranger le caméscope numérique dans un endroit où le
niveau d'humidité est élevé ou dans un endroit poussiéreux :
La poussière pénétrant le caméscope numérique peut provoquer des
défaillances. Un taux élevé d'humidité peut encourager la formation de
moisissure sur l'objectif rendant le caméscope numérique inopérant.
Nous recommandons de mettre le caméscope numérique dans une boîte
et d'y déposer un dessiccatif avant de le ranger dans un placard, etc.
Évitez de ranger le caméscope numérique dans un endroit sujet

Nettoyage du caméscope numérique
✪ Avant de commencer le nettoyage, éteignez le caméscope
numérique et retirez le bloc-piles et l'adaptateur CA.
Pour nettoyer l'extérieur
Nettoyez délicatement avec un chiffon doux et sec. N’appuyez pas
trop fort lors du nettoyage ; frottez doucement la surface.
- Ne jamais utiliser de benzène ou de solvant pour nettoyer le
caméscope. La surface du boîtier peut peler ou se dégrader.
