CONNECTING THE USB CABLE
Connect the USB cable to copy movie images in a recording medium
to the PC and vice versa.
You can also other various application with
USB connection.
(PC-camera, storing the data, etc.)
1. Set the "USB Connect" to
"Mass Storage". ➥page 68
2. Connect the memory camcorder to
the PC with a USB cable.
Disconnecting the USB cable
Before loading or unloading recording mediums or turning off the PC,
fi rst disconnect the USB cable and turn off the memory camcorder.
After completing the data transmission, you must disconnect the cable
in the following way:
1. Click the "Unplug or eject hardware" icon on the task tray.
2. Select "USB Mass Storage Device" or
"USB Disk," and then click "Stop."
3. Click "OK."
4. Disconnect the USB cable from the memory camcorder and PC.
Don’t apply excessive force when
inserting or extracting a USB jack.
Insert a USB jack after checking the direction of its insertion is
correct.
It is recommended to use the AC adapter as the power supply
instead of the battery pack.
When the USB cable is connected, turning on or off the camcorder
causes malfunctions of the PC.

If you disconnect the USB cable from the PC or the memory
camcorder while transferring, the data transmission will stop and
the data may be damaged.
If you connect the USB cable to a PC via a USB HUB or
simultaneously connect the USB cable along with other USB
devices, the memory camcorder may not work properly. If this
occurs, remove all USB devices from the PC and reconnect the
memory camcorder.

Raccordez le cable USB pour pouvoir copier une vidéo depuis un support
de stockage vers un ordinateur et vice versa.
La connexion USB vous permet aussi d’

2. Raccordez le caméscope à
l’ordinateur à l’aide du câble USB.
Débranchement du câble USB
Avant d’installer ou de désinstaller des supports de stockage ou d’éteindre l’
ordinateur, débranchez le câble USB et éteignez le caméscope numérique.
Après avoir terminé le transfert de données, vous devez débrancher le
câble de la façon suivante :
1. Cliquez sur l’icône “Débrancher ou éjecter le matériel” dans la
barre des tâches.
2. Sélectionnez la fonction Mémoire de grande
capacité USB ou “Disque USB”, puis cliquez sur
“Arrêter”.
3. Cliquez sur “OK”.
4. Débranchez le câble USB du caméscope numérique et de l’ordinateur.
Ne tentez pas de forcer l’insertion ou l’extraction d’une fi che USB.
Vérifi ez la direction d’insertion de la fi che USB avant de l’insérer.
Nous vous conseillons d’utiliser l’adaptateur CA comme bloc d’
alimentation plutôt que le bloc-piles.
Allumer ou éteindre le caméscope numérique pendant que le câble
USB est branché peut provoquer une défaillance de l’ordinateur.

Si vous débranchez le câble USB de l’ordinateur ou du
caméscope numérique pendant le transfert de données, ce
dernier s’interrompt et les données risquent d’être altérées.
Si vous branchez le câble USB sur un ordinateur par l’
intermédiaire d’un répéteur multiport USB ou si vous branchez
simultanément le câble USB avec d’autres appareils USB, le
caméscope numérique pourrait ne pas fonctionner correctement.
Le cas échéant, retirez tous les appareils USB de l’ordinateur et
reconnectez le camescope numérique.
