Formatting a Memory Card
✤ You can use the Format function to completely
delete all still images/moving images and options
on the Memory Card, including protected still
images/moving images.
✤ The format function restores the Memory Card
to its initial state.
✤ The Memory Stick supplied with this Camcorder
has been formatted already.
1.Set the Power switch to (CAMERA).
2.Press the MENU button.
3.Move the Joystick to the left or right to select
(SETUP).
■ The SETUP menu list will appear.
4.Move the Joystick up or down to select FORMAT,
then move the Joystick to the right.
■ The available options are listed. YES - NO.
5.Select the desired option by moving the Joystick
up or down button, then press the Joystick(OK).
■ If YES is selected, message FORMAT ? appears.
6.If OK is selected, message PLEASE WAIT appears
and then FORMAT DONE appears when the format
is completed.
[ Notes ]
■ If you execute the Format function, all still
images/moving images will be erased completely
and erased still images/moving images cannot be
recovered.
■ Formatting the Memory Card using a different device
will cause Memory Card read errors.
■ Formatting the Memory Card deletes all the stored
data in the Memory Card.
■ Do not turn the power off while formatting.

✤ La fonction Format vous permet de supprimer
l’intégralité des photos et des films enregistrés ainsi
que les options paramétrées sur la carte mémoire, y
compris les photos et les films protégés.
✤ La fonction de formatage ramène la carte mémoire à
son état initial.
✤ Le bâtonnet de mémoire fourni avec ce caméscope
est déjà formaté.
1. Placez le sélecteur de mise sous tension sur
(PHOTO).
2. Appuyez sur le bouton MENU.
3. Déplacez le joystick vers la gauche ou vers la droite
pour sélectionner (SETUP (INSTALL.).
■ La liste du menu SETUP (INSTALL.) apparaît.
4. Déplacez le joystick vers le haut ou vers le bas pour
sélectionner FORMAT, puis déplacez le joystick vers
la droite.
■ La liste des options disponibles s’affiche.
YES (OUI) – NO (NON).
5. Sélectionnez l’option de votre choix en déplaçant le
joystick vers le haut ou vers le bas, puis appuyez sur
Joystick(OK).
■ Si YES (OUI) est sélectionné, le message
FORMAT ? apparaît.
6. Si OK est sélectionné, le message PLEASE WAIT
(PATIENTER) s'affiche et FORMAT DONE
(FORMATAGE OK) s'affiche lorsque le formatage est
terminé.
[ Remarques ]
■ En utilisant la fonction de formatage, vous supprimez
toutes les photos et tous les films définitivement. Il est
ensuite impossible de les récupérer.
■ Une carte mémoire formatée dans un autre appareil
posera des problèmes de lecture.
■ En formatant la carte mémoire, vous effacez la totalité
des informations enregistrées sur celle-ci.
■ N’éteignez pas l’appareil lorsque vous êtes en cours de formatage.
