5.7 First-time Startup
This section describes the procedure for starting up the Power+ for the first time, after having
completed the installation process described in the previous chapter.
1. Ensure that the maintenance bypass switch is set to NORMAL (OFF), and that no
load devices are connected to the UPS.
2. Turn the AC input and AC bypass switch ON and wait (for about 2 minutes) for the
POWER+ to initialize.
When applying power to the POWER+, the system automatically runs the startup process
without a need to press the On/Off button.
3. The start-up sequence begins and the control panel displays the following
sequence. (The details may vary, depending on your application.)
4. Turn the AC input and AC bypass switch ON and wait (for about 2 minutes) for the
POWER+ to initialize.
5. The start-up sequence will begin and the control panel will show the following
sequence. (The details of the display may vary from what is shown in the
illustrations below, depending on your system's particulars.)
At start-up, the following screen sequence appears:

In “SILICON MODE”, commands issued through the Power+ Control Panel are
executed immediately. Operators should exercise caution.
Note: In Figure 36, “Silicon mode” indicates that the configuration jumper is installed, thus
allowing for modifications.
