Configure the Controller
Create a Controller Project To configure and program your controller, use RSLogix 5000 software to create
and manage a project for the controller.
1. Create a project in RSLogix 5000 software by clicking the New button on
the main toolbar.
2. From the Type pull-down menu, choose a GuardLogix controller:
• 1756-L61S ControlLogix5561S Controller
• 1756-L62S ControlLogix5562S Controller
• 1756-L63S ControlLogix5563S Controller
• 1756-L71S ControlLogix5571S Controller
• 1756-L72S ControlLogix5572S Controller
• 1756-L73S ControlLogix5573S Controller
3. Enter the major revision of firmware for the controller.
