Note:
You must print a few lines after each print head cleaning in order to
reset the cleaning cycle.
If print quality does not improve, repeat step 4, then print a
few lines to check the output. If print quality doesn’t improve
after repeating this procedure four or five times, see “Printing
quality” on page 8-26. If print quality still does not improve
after following the recommendations, contact your dealer.
Aligning the Print Heads
If you notice a misalignment of vertical or horizontal lines, you
may be able to solve these problems from your computer using
the Print Head Alignment utility in the printer software.
Nore:
Do not start the Print Head Alignment utility while printing is in
progress; otherwise your printout may be marred.
For Windows users:
1. Make sure paper is loaded in the sheet feeder.

Caution:
Use paper at least 210 mm (8.27 inches) wide; for
example, A4 size paper loaded short edge first.
2. Open the printer driver and click the Utility tab.
3. Click the Print Head Alignment button.
4. Follow the messages on your screen to align the print heads.
