The printer loads more than one sheet at a time.

Cause

What to do

Too many sheets are loaded
in the sheet feeder.

Take the paper stack out of the feeder,
remove some sheets, and reload paper.
Before you load paper, check the
amount of paper you can load in the
sheet feeder; see “Loading Special
Paper and Other Media” on page 5-22.

Paper has been compressed
and is sticking together.

Fan your stack of paper before loading
it in the sheet feeder.

The paper is too thin.

Make sure the paper meets the paper
requirements. See “Paper” on page
D-4.

Ejected paper is wrinkled.

Cause

What to do

The paper is too thin or
damp.

Do not store your paper in a damp or
humid environment. Store paper in its
original packaging. See “Paper” on
page D-4.

Single sheets do not fully eject.

Cause

What to do

Paper gets stuck.

Use the Load/Eject button to eject the
paper. If this occurs often, see
“Cleaning the Printer” on page 7-6.

Page length setting is wrong.

Check the page length set by your
software and adjust it if necessary.

The paper may be too long.

Use paper that is within the specified
size. See “Paper” on page D-4.
