Transporting the Printer
If you need to transport your printer some distance, carefully
repack it using the original box and packing materials as
follows:
1. Turn on the printer.
2. Remove all four of the ink cartridges and store them in
separate plastic bags.
Note:
If you only need to transport your printer a short distance, do not
remove the ink cartridges.
3. Turn off the printer and make sure the print heads are in the
home (far right) position. If they are not, turn the printer
back on, wait until they stop moving and are in the home
position; then turn off the printer.
Note:
After turning off the printer, the Pause light flashes for about one
minute.
4. Unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet; then
disconnect the interface cable from the printer.
5. Remove any paper from the sheet feeder and remove the
paper support, output tray, and cable cover.
6. Attach the protective materials you removed when you
unpacked the printer.
7. Repack the printer, paper tray cover, paper tray, banner
paper cover, and power cord in the original box.
8. Remember to keep the printer level during transport.
