Setting up the SCART video
output

(European model only)

The SCART video output can be switched to
composite or S-video independently for each
of the video inputs 1, 2 and 3. Set up so that
the SCART output reflects the type of input
you used for each video connection.

Press V1/V2/V3 VIDEO to select

‘Video 1’, ‘Video 2’ or ‘Video 3’, as
required.
The current input is shown in the display.

Press SYS MENU.

Use the

/

(cursor left/right)

buttons to select ‘SCART Video Output’.

Use the

/

(cursor up/down)

buttons to select ‘Video’ or ‘S-Video’ as
required.

Press ENTER.

Connecting a component for
recording

The

VIDEO 1 function has both inputs and

outputs for audio and video. Use these to
connect an audio or video recorder. For
playback, connect as described above in
Analog connections and Digital connections.

To record analog audio, connect the

AUDIO L / R jacks of VIDEO 1 OUT to the
analog audio inputs on the recorder.

To record video, connect the VIDEO or

S-VIDEO jack of VIDEO 1 OUT to the
video or S-video input on the recorder.

To record digital audio, connect the

OPTICAL DIGITAL OUT jack to the optical
digital input on the recorder.
