Connecting the

STEP 1

Flat Cord

Connect the supplied flat cord to the
SYSTEM CONTROL connectors with the
same color until it clicks.

To disconnect the flat cord
Pull out the connector of the flat cord while
pressing its sides. Do not pull the flat cord
itself.

STEP 2

Speakers

For MHC-C9EX

The speakers are equipped with power
amplifiers. There is no distinction made
between the left and right speakers.

Cormect the right speaker to the FRONT
SPEAKER R connector and the left
speaker to the FRONT SPEAKER L
connector by using the supplied audio
cords.

Connect one end of the supplied power
cord to AC IN on the right speaker and
the other end to AC OUTLET on the
amplifier.

Connect one end of the other supplied
power cord to AC IN on the left speaker
and the other end to AC OUTLET on the
amplifier.

To set up the speakers away from
the system
Use a power cord and audio cord (not
supplied) to extend the length of the
connecting cords.

Twist the speaker cable coating and strip
it from the end of the cable.

Importarit

Ground the external antenna against
lightning. To prevent a gas explosion, do
not connect the ground wire to a gas pipe.

Connect the right speaker to the R
connectors and the left speaker to the L
cormectors with the red cords to + and
the black cords to -.

STEP 4

Power

Connecting the

Cormect the AC power cord to a wall outlet
after you have made all the above
connections.

Antenna

Connecting the

Caution

Before you power on the stereo, turn the
VOLUME control counterclockwise to
decrease the sound level.

To improve the FM reception
Connect an outdoor FM antenna to the FM
75Ì2 and

terminals, using a 75-ohm

coaxial cable.

To improve the AM reception
After you connect the AM antenna, cormect
a 6- to 15-meter (20- to 50-feet) insulated
wire to the AM terminal. Connect the

terminal to earth.
