To activate DOLBY NR
When you want to reduce the hiss noise in
low-level high-frequency signals, set
DOLBY NR to B or C after step 4.

Note

• "C---- " appears when the required tape

length exceeds 90 minutes.

Recording a CD:
Specifying Track

Order (program edit)

You can adjust the total recording time to
the tape length while making a program.

A Press DISK 1 - 5 to choose a CD.

Press Kl«^ or ►►WXI («◄or^W

on the remote) to choose a track.

Press PROGRAM.

5 Program the tracks you want to record

for side A by repeating steps 3 and 4.
Make sure to program the tracks so that
the total playing time of side A does not
exceed the tape length of one side.

Press DD on the CD player.

"B" and "PAUSE" appear in the display
and the total playing time is reset to

Program the tracks you want to record

for side B as the same way as you did
for side A.

Press = and insert a blank tape into

deck B.

Select dual or single-sided recording

the reverse side. Be sure to start from
the front side.

Press CD SYNCHRO.

Deck B stands by for recording.

The t> (for front side) or <1 (for
reverse side) indicator lights steadily
and shows you which side will start
recording. The other indicator flashes
for a few seconds, then disappears.

If the indicator for the side you want

to start recording does not light, press
O or <1 to light the side to start
recording.
If it lights, skip to step 12.

Press 11 PAUSE on the tape player

to release recording pause.
Recording starts.

To program one whole CD while
checking the total playing time
You can program tracks while checking the
total playing time by using DISC SKIP on

the remote to choose the desired CD.
1 Press DISC SKIP instead of DISC 1 - 5 to

choose the desired CD.

2 Check the total playing time, and repeat

step 1 if not satisfactory.

3 Press PROGRAM while the total playing

time is flashing.

When you want to record from the middle

of the tape

CD playing starts 10 seconds after pressing
11 PAUSE, because a tape is regarded as a
blank tape when it is inserted after = has
been pressed. If you want to start CD
playing and recording at the same time,
play back or record a tape in deck B for a
few seconds, and then press CD
SYNCHRO.

When the last part of the track overlaps the

leader part of the tape

The recording may stop.

Recording From the
Radio

You can record from the tuner onto a tape.
Use any type of tape.
