16:9 WIDE
You can record a 16:9 wide picture on the tape to watch on a 16:9 wide-screen TV
(WIDE mode). This function is useful when you want to record on the tape in
wider angles while the power zoom lever is moved to the W side.
Refer also to the manuals supplied with your TV.
* Picture appears in full screen when the wide-screen TV switches to full mode.
** Played in a 4:3 mode, the picture is extended in the length direction. When you play a
picture in the wide mode on a normal TV, it appears as it is displayed on the LCD screen.
STEADYSHOT
You can select this function to compensate for camera-shake.
G OFF Standard setting (to record pictures to play back on a 4:3 TV). The
recorded picture will not be wide.
ON ( ) Select to record a picture to be played back on a 16:9 wide TV.
G ON Select to enable the SteadyShot function to compensate for camera-
shake.
OFF ( ) Select to disable the SteadyShot function. When shooting a stationary
subject with a tripod, natural pictures are produced.
