S ARMS
The patient’s arms can be fixed to the device during
transport, using the straps on the support legs
(Figure
h ). This makes it easier to move the
patient, especially if not in a hospital environment.
WARNING – BLOCKED INTRAVENOUS
CATHETER
Do not tighten the patient strap/straps if drugs are
administered to the patient via an intravenous
catheter.
Caution – Do not lift by the straps
The straps are only intended for securing the
patient ’ s arms to LUCAS.
Apply the straps tightly enough to secure the arms,
but do not overtighten as this may reduce blood
circulation to the patient’s hands.
3.7.2 A PPLYING LUCAS S TABILISATION S TRAP
If LUCAS is equipped with LUCAS Stabilisation
Strap
(Figure j ), apply the Stabilisation Strap
according to its Instructions for Use.
