SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance is intended for household use only.
IMPORTANT !
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk
of electric shocks, this plug is intended to fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does
not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still doesn’t fit, contact a qualified electrician.
Do not attempt to modify the plug in any way.
Your fondue set is supplied with a special “quick release” magnetic detachable power cord. First
connect detachable power cord to the heating element, then plug the polarized plug into a 120V AC
wall outlet.
This has been specially engineered to quickly break away from the electric heating element; thus
reducing the risk of the fondue pot tipping over should the cord be accidentally pulled.
•
This appliance is for use with standard voltage outlet.
•
NEVER impact this unit or drop from high place.
•
DO NOT touch plate surface while in use or before cool down, even when the
power is switched to the “OFF ” position.
•
DO NOT use metal utensils, as they will scratch the stainless steel surface.
•
During initial use, some light smoke and/or odor may be detected. This is
normal and will not reoccur after a few uses.
•
A short power-supply cord is provided to reduce risks resulting from becoming
entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
•
Longer detachable power-supply cords or extension cords are available and
may be used if care is exercised in their use.
•
If a longer detachable power-supply cord or extension cord is used :
•
the marked electrical rating of the extension cord should be at least as great
as the electrical rating of the appliance.
•
the longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop
or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over unintentionally.
