Battery installation
Turn mill upside down over a plate and turn base counterclockwise. Pull on metal half-moon handle
to remove power pack ( see Fig.1 ). Install 6 AAA batteries according to polarity, as indicated on
power pack. While mill is still upside down, replace the power pack. Make sure no peppercorns are
in the square hole at the base of the power pack. Replace base, turning clockwise
to lock.
To refill mill
To refill, hold mill upside down over a plate and remove base. Pull on metal half-moon handle to
remove power pack ( see Fig.1 ). Fill mill with peppercorns or sea salt crystals up to “MAX FILL”
indicator ( see Fig.2 ). Do not overfill. While mill is still upside down, replace the power pack and
base. Make sure no peppercorns are in the square hole at the base
of the power pack.
to adjust grind
Adjusting knob is located on top of the mill. Turn clockwise for a finer grind and counterclockwise
for a coarser grind.
to prevent clogging
In some rare instances, your grinder could get clogged with residue (peppercorn or sea salt). If
this happens, keep your mill in its upright position and turn your adjustment knob counterclockwise
until you feel slight resistance (you cannot completely remove the adjustment knob). Then push the
residue downward using a pointed object to clean the grinder area. Once clean, turn the adjustment
knob clockwise back to your desired grind level.
to care
Wipe the outside of the mill with a soft, damp cloth. Never immerse your mill in water. Store your
mill in a dry place.
NOtE
Do not use different types of batteries together. Do not mix old batteries with new ones. Always
remove exhausted batteries and dispose of safely. Clean battery contacts and also those of the
device prior to battery installation.
