Safety first

SAFETY FIRST
Read this safety advice thoroughly before the first use of your fondue set. Read the operating ins-
tructions carefully and keep them at hand. Children and persons who are not familiar with the ope-
rating instructions should not use the appliance. It should be used only for the purpose for which it
is intended and any other use could prove dangerous. The manufacturer accepts no liability for the
consequences
of improper use.
ATTENTION!
The appliance becomes hot in use!
•
DO NOT operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, after the
appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner. Return appliance
to the nearest professional electric repair shop for examination, repair
or adjustment.
DO NOT attempt to repair this product yourself. There are no
user serviceable parts inside.
•
Always attach coupler assembly to appliance first, then plug cord into wall
outlet. To disconnect coupler, turn control to “OFF”, remove plug from wall outlet.
Allow appliance to cool, then remove heat control from unit.
•
DO NOT use on plastic or synthetic tablecloths or any unstable place or by
flammable goods.
•
The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance
manufacturer may result in fire, electric shock or injury.
DO NOT use the
appliance for other than intended use.
•
To protect against electrical shock,
DO NOT immerse electrical cord, plug or
fondue base in water or other liquid.
•
DO NOT place on or near a hot burner or in a heated oven.
•
DO NOT touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs when handling.
•
During long heating periods, the pot and the base can become hot. Hold by the
handle using oven mitts.
•
DO NOT carry it while it is hot. Use extra vigilance when operating in the presence
of children.
•
Extreme caution must be used when using or moving the fondue containing hot
oil or other hot liquids. A fondue containing hot oil should not be left unattended.
•
Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used near children. This
appliance should not be used by children.
•
DO NOT let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
Place the cord and any extension cords used, in such a way that there is no
danger of anyone tripping.
•
Turn temperature to “OFF”, unplug and allow the appliance enough time to cool
down before cleaning.
•
Always pull the plug, not the cord when unplugging from wall outlet.
•
Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before
putting on, or taking off parts and before cleaning the appliance.
•
DO NOT immerse the appliance in water to clean it. With the exception of fondue
pot, the double boiler (if applicable), the fork guide and the forks, the appliance
should not be immersed in water or cleaned in a dishwasher (short-circuit danger!)
•
DO NOT use outdoors.
