CERAMIC KNIFE

USE AND CARE INSTRUCTIONS

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE USE AND SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS

USE:

Ideal for straight cut of fruits, vegetables and boneless meats. Always use with a plastic

or wood cutting board. Avoid cutting on marble, stone, glass or tile. Do not use for boning,

prying and cutting frozen foods as these applications involve twisting.

CARE:

Hand wash recommended, with soap and water. Dry before storage.

AVOID:

Dropping on hard surfaces.

Using front edge as a rotating pivot.

Turning the blade on its side to smash garlic or other items.

STORAGE:

Store in a knife block, sheath or tray. Use care when storing or removing the knife

from a knife block to avoid damaging the tip.

WEAR:

Ceramic knives will stay sharper longer compared with stainless steel knives. Depending

on the amount of use, you may not need to ever sharpen your ceramic knife. In time,

you may notice small nicks on the blade’s edge. This is the normal process by wich any

hard-material blade will dull. Despite its appearance, the existence of these “microchips”

does not necessarily mean the knife is dull. You will find that it performs well for quite some

time. When the knife no longer performs to your standards, you may send the knife

to Trudeau for resharpening or replacement (at Trudeau’s discretion). Details on how

to do this are at the end of these instructions.

WARRANTY:

All Trudeau ceramic knives are warranted to be free from defects in material or workmanship

for the lifetime of the product. In the event such a defect occurs, Trudeau will repair

or replace (at its discretion) free of charge. This warranty extends only the original

purchaser. This warranty does not cover damage caused by improper use of the knife

or accidental damage to the knife. Small chips or broken tips are not covered

by the warranty, but can often be corrected by reshrapening.

To process your warranty claim, please send the knife along with your name, mailing

address, phone number, and proof of purchase, all postage paid, to:
