CYLINDERS AND REGULATORS
The Pro Steamer’s self-contained pr opane system is designed for use with a 9.1 kg. (20
lb.) Propane cylinder , equipped with a T ype I cylinder valve. This appliance cannot be
connected to a standard Type II valve (with internal left-hand threads only).
DO NOT CONNECT TO A PROPANE GAS CYLINDER EXCEEDING THIS
CAPACITY , OR USE A CYLINDER WITH ANY OTHER TYPE OF VAL VE.
The Type I (Q.C.C.1) valve is recognizable by the large external thr ead on the outlet part
of the valve. Standard valves do not have these exterior threads. Any attempt to fit the
regulator(s) with anything other than the mating Type I (Q.C.C.1) connector , (recognized
by the large plastic coupling nut) will negate the important safety features designed into
the Type I (Q.C.C.1) system. Fitting a standard #510 P .O.L connector , will not pr ovide the
excess flow control or temperature shut-off safety features built into the complete T ype I
(Q.C.C.1) system.
The cylinder should not exceed 472 mm (18-1/2”) in height and 317 mm (12-1/2”) in
diameter . When purchasing a cylinder for your Pro Steamer , it must be constructed and
marked in accordance with the specifications of:
a) Canada - The Canadian Transpor t Commission
b) U.S.A. - The U.S. Department of T ransportation
The cylinder must also be equipped with:
a) A shut-off valve terminating in a proper cylinder valve outlet specified in current
standards:
1) Canada: CAN/CGA - 1.6 - M88 - Outdoor Gas Grills - Amend. 1.
2) U.S.A.: ANSI/CGA-V-1-1977: Compressed gas cylinder valve outlet and inlet
connections.
b) A safety relief valve having direct communication with the vapor space of the cylinder .
c) A collar to protect the cylinder shut-off valve.
d) An arrangement for vapor withdrawal.
e) A bottom ring for securing to the cylinder support assembly .
WARNING!
• Always turn off the cylinder valve when your Pro Steamer is not in use.
• Handle cylinder valves with care.
• Never connect an unregulated LP gas cylinder to the Pro Steamer .
• Never store a spare cylinder under or near your Pro Steamer , or subj ect any cylinder
to excessive heat.
• Always keep cylinder(s) securely fastened in an upright position.

Le Pro Steamer est équipé d’un système autonome d’alimentation au propane, conçu
pour une bonbonne de gaz de 9,1 kg (20 lb) munie d’un robinet de gaz de type I. Cet
appareil ne peut pas être branché sur un robinet de gaz standard de type II (avec filetage
interne à gauche seulement).
NE LE BRANCHEZ NI À UNE BONBONNE DE GAZ QUI DÉPASSE LA CAPACITÉ
INDIQUÉE NI À UNE BONBONNE MUNIE D’UN AUTRE TYPE DE ROBINET.
Le robinet de gaz de type I (Q.C.C.1) se reconnaît par son gros filetage externe sur le
tube d’écoulement. Les robinets standard ne comportent pas ce type de filetage
externe. Toute tentative de raccorder le régulateur à un connecteur autre que son
homologue de type I (Q.C.C.1) (reconnaissable à son gros écrou de serrage en plastique)
anéantira les importants contrôles de sécurité incorporés dans le système d’alimentation
de type I (Q.C.C.1). Un raccord standard n
o 510 pour produits pétroliers ne fournit pas
les mêmes mesures de sécurité qui sont intégrées dans le systéme de type I (Q.C.C.1)
telles que la soupape d’excès de débit et le contrôle automatique de température.
La bonbonne de gaz ne doit pas dépasser 472 mm (18 1/

po) de haut et 317 mm
(12 1/2 po) de diamètre. Lorsque vous achetez une bonbonne de gaz pour votre Pro
Steamer, assurez-vous qu’elle est bien fabriquée et étiquetée conformément aux
spécifications
a) de l’Office des transports du Canada au Canada;
b) du Department of Transportation aux États-Unis.
De plus, la bonbonne de gaz doit être équipée :
a) d’un robinet d’arrêt qui se termine dans un conduit d’écoulement pour bonbonne à
gaz, conforme aux normes en vigueur :
1) au Canada : CAN/CGA - 1.6 - M88 - Grils à gaz en extérieur - Amendements 1.
2) aux États-Unis : ANSI/CGA-V-1-1977 : Raccords d’entrée et de sortie pour robinets à
gaz comprimé.
b) Une soupape de sûreté qui communique avec l’espace de dégagement des émanations
gazeuses de la bonbonne.
c) Un collier qui protège le robinet d’arrêt de la bonbonne.
d) Un dispositif d’évacuation des émanations gazeuses.
e) Une bague inférieure pour fixer la bonbonne de gaz au support.
AVERTISSEMENT!
• Fermez toujours de robinet de la bonbonne de gaz lorsque le Pro Steamer n’est pas
utilisé.
• Prenez des précautions extrêmes lorsque vous manipulez des bonbonnes de gaz.
• Ne branchez jamais une bonbonne de gaz non réglementée au Pro Steamer.
• N’entreposez jamais une bonbonne de gaz de rechange en dessous ou à proximité de
votre Pro Steamer. Ne soumettez jamais une bonbonne de gaz à une température
excessive.
• Entreposez toujours les bonbonnes de gaz en bien les attachant en position verticale.
