Creating Custom Equalizer
Settings

Press EQUALIZER BANK repeatedly to select the

equalizer you want to adjust (EQ PRESET 1 ~5).

Press MAIN MENU repeatedly to display

"<EQUALIZER>".

Turn MENU to select the desired parameter, then

turn +/- to adjust.

Thest? parameters let vou adjust the sound of each
speaker individually (see page 32).
The adjustments are stored automaticallv.

? You can turn off the equalization without erasing the

equalizer

Press the EQUALIZER BANK repeatedly to select "EQUALIZER

OFF".

Clearing Stored Equalizer Settings

Press EQUALIZER BANK repeatedly to select the

equalizer you want to clear (EQ PRESET 1-5).

Press MAIN MENU repeatedly to display

"<EQUALIZER>".

Turn MENU tordisplay "<PRESET x clear [NO]>" ("x"

is the number of the current equalizer preset).

Turn

+/-

to display "<PRESET x clear [YES]>".

A few seconds later, "Are you sure?" is displayed.

Once again, turn

+/-

to display "[YES]".

A few seconds later, "PRESET x CLEARED !" is
displayed and the contents of the selected equalizer
bank are restored to the factory presets.

Recording

^'our control amplifier makes it easy to record to and from
the components connected to it. You don't have to
connect the playback and recording components directly

to each other; once you select a program source on the
control amplifier, you can record and edit as you

normally

would using the controls on each component.

Before you begin, make sure you'\’e connected all

components properly.

INPUT SELECTOR

Video signal flow

Recording on an audio tape or MiniDisc

You can record on a cassette tape or MiniDisc using the
control amplifier. See the instruction manual of your tape
deck or MD deck if you need help.

Turn INPUT SELECTOR to select the component to

be recorded.

Prepare the component for playing.

For example, insert a CD into the CD player.

Insert a blank tape or MD into the recording deck

and adjust the recording level, if necessary.

start recording on the recording deck, thert Start

playback on the playback component.

Notes

• You cannot record a digital audio signal using a component

connected to the analog TAPE REC OUT or MD/DAT REC
OUT jacks. To record a digital audio signal, connect a digital
component to the MD/DAT OPTICAL OUT jack.

• Sound adjustments do not affect the signal output from the

TAPE REC OUT or MD/DAT REC OUT jacks.
