Before turning on the control amplifier

Clearing the control amplifier's memory

Before you use your control amplifier for the first time or
when you want to clear the control amplifier's memoi)',

do the followinj;.

1 Press MAIN MENU repeatedly to display

“<CUSTOMIZE>".

Turn MENU to display "MEMORY CLEAR [NO]".

Turn +/- to display "MEMORY CLEAR [YES]".

After a few seconds, "Are you sure?" is displayed.
Turn +/- fo display [YES] again and wait a few
seconds. The unit automatically turns off, and then
turns on again. All of the followings are reset to the

factory settings or cleared.

• All menu-adjustments (speaker settings, equalizer

settings, sound field parameters, etc.).

• The equalizer settings in the equalizer bank.

Checking the connections

.After connecting .ill of your coinponents to the control

.implifier, do the following to verifi th.it the connections

were ni.ide correctly.

Press ® to turn on the control amplifier.

Turn INPUT SELECTOR to select a component

(program source) that you connected (e.g., CD

player or tape deck).

Turn on the component and start playing it.

Turn MASTER VOLUME to increase the volume.

If you do not obtain normal sound output after
performing this procedure, look for the reason in the
following checklist and take the appropriate measures to
correct the problem.

There is no sound no matter which component is
selected.

Check that the control amplifier, the power
amplifier(s), and all components are turned on.
Check that the MASTER VOLUME control is not
set to 0.

If "MUTING" appears in the display, press
MUTING on the remote to turn off the muting
function.

^ Check that the component is connected correctly to

the audio input jacks for that component.

^ Check that the cord(s) used for the connection is

(are) fully inserted into the jacks on both the
control amplifier and the component.
