FILTER SIZE
The Barista Express comes with 4 filters:
Dual Wall Filters for Beginners

Single Wall Filters for Aspiring Baristas

Adjust the FILTER SIZE button according to the
filter size you select, and along with the GRIND
AMOUNT dial, the correct quantity of ground
beans will be dispensed into the filter, ready for
extraction.
HANDS FREE, DIRECT GRINDING
The Barista Express features an integrated
grinding cradle located below the integrated
conical burr grinder which fully supports the
portafilter. The ‘hands free’ grinding feature
allows you to continue with other preparations
while the portafilter is being filled with the
selected amount of freshly ground coffee beans.
Place the portafilter into the cradle and simply
push the portafilter toward the machine lightly to
activate the grind function.
INTEGRATED / REMOVABLE TAMPER
Tamping is the application of even and
consistent pressure to the espresso grinds. The
tamper is conveniently located ‘on board’ the
machine and can be used both in the ‘on board’
position or whilst removed depending on your
preference.
