Button(s) Function Components
SOURCE Press to switch the components between standby and on. VCR/DVD/LD/DVD-recorder
Press to return to the start of the current track or chapter. VCR/DVD/LD/DVD-recorder
Press to advance to the next track or chapter. Repeated presses skips
to the start of the following tracks or chapters. VCR/DVD/LD/DVD-recorder
Pause playback or recording VCR/DVD/LD/DVD-recorder
Hold down for fast-forward playback VCR/DVD/LD/DVD-recorder
Hold down for fast-reverse playback VCR/DVD/LD/DVD-recorder
Start playback VCR/DVD/LD/DVD-recorder
Stop playback (on some models, pressing this when the disc is already
stopped will cause the disc tray to open) VCR/DVD/LD/DVD-recorder
DISC ( ENTER ) Use as ENTER VCR/DVD/LD/DVD-recorder
Press to change the search mode DVD
Press to display the setup screen (or disc navigator) DVD-recorder
Press to switch sides of a disc LD
+10 Use as +10 button when entering numbers VCR/DVD/LD/DVD-recorder
Press to clear a numeric entry DVD/DVD-recorder
Number buttons Use to directly access tracks, etc. on a program source
Method 1: For numbers 1–9, use the number buttons. For numbers 10
and over, use the
+10 button, e.g., +10 , +10 , 3 for 23.
Method 2: Use the number buttons followed by ENTER , e.g., 2 , 3 ,
ENTER for 23.
VCR/DVD/LD/DVD-recorder
Start recording. To prevent accidental recording, these buttons must
be pressed together. VCR/DVD-recorder
MENU Display menus concerning the current DVD or DVR you’re using DVD/DVD-recorder
DTV MENU/TOP
MENU Display the top menu of the current DVD or DVR you’re using DVD/LD/DVD-recorder
RETURN Use to go back to the previous menu page DVD/DVD-recorder
AUDIO Change the audio track of discs with more than one audio track DVD/LD/DVD-recorder
SUBTITLE Display/change the subtitle language on multilingual DVDs DVD/DVD-recorder
& ENTER Navigate DVD menus/options DVD/DVD-recorder
CHANNEL +/– Use to select channels VCR/DVD-recorder
ENTER + Press to start recording DVD-recorder with HDD
