4. Install plumbers strap from the Power Venter to the floor joist, (See Diagram F).

5. Install vent pipe from the Power Venter inlet to the appliance flue outlet avoiding elbows when possible. To calculate equivalent

length, in feet, of vent pipe for vent pipe fiittings, see Table below.

INSTALLATION RESTRICTIONS

1. The installer must ensure that all electrical connections between the appliance and Power Venter are tight and that all wires are

positioned and secured so they cannot come in contact with high temperature locations. Use adequate conduit supports where
necessary.

2. All 115V wiring must be at least 14 AWG.
3. All wiring must be in compliance with local codes or in their absence, with the latest edition of the “Canadian Electrical Code

Part 1, (C22.1)” or the “National Electrical Code, (NFPA 70)”.

4. Disconnect 115V power before attempting to wire the Power Venter to the appliance. Power may be disconnected by means of

the appliance circuit breaker/fuse.

WATER HEATER CONNECTIONS WITH SIDEWALL VENTER

1. Disconnect the water heater connector from the flue damper housing.
2. Plug male sidewall wire harness into female connector on flue damper.
3. Plug water heater connector to the female on sidewall wire harness.
4. Complete 120 volt wiring to sidewall venter as shown below.

NOTE: Black wire from Power Venter changes to Yellow in

the harness.

J1: Part of Power Venter Harness (plugged into P3)
J2: Part of Power Venter Harness (plugged into P1)
J3: Part of Power Venter Harness
J4: Part of Vent Damper Harness (normally plugs into P5)
J5: Part of Vent Damper Harness (plugged into P4)
NOTE: Black wire from Power Venter changes to Yellow in the

harness.

To connect Power Venter:
1. Plug P1 into J2 (no change)
2. Plug P3 into J1 (no change)
3. Unplug P4 from J5
4. Plug P4 into J3
5. Plug P2 into J5
6. Plug P5 into J4
