Troubleshooting
Wiring Fault
The front-panel display shows an X-mark with the “Wiring” indicator.
Possible causes:
• Your wall outlet may have the hot and neutral (L-N) wires reversed.
• Check to ensure your AVU1500 is plugged into a 3-prong grounded
AC wall outlet. Do not use 2-3-prong adapters.
• If the “Wiring” X-mark is still displayed, then unplug your AVU1500
and consult a licensed electrician.
Remote Trigger
When I turn on my remote trigger device (e.g., preamp),
nothing happens.
Possible causes:
• Your remote trigger device should be plugged into an AVU1500 power
outlet set to “Always On”.
• The remote trigger feature should be turned on. The front-panel
display should show “Remote ON”. If not, move the rear-panel
“Remote IN” slide-switch to “ON”.
• Your remote trigger device should be plugged into one of the two
available “Remote IN” connectors: DC In or AC In.
When I turn off my remote trigger device (e.g., preamp), my other
switched devices do not turn off.
Possible causes:
• The remote trigger feature should be set to “ON”. The front-panel
display should show “Remote ON”. If not, move the rear-panel
“Remote IN” slide-switch to “ON”.
• Your remote trigger device should be plugged into one of the two
available “Remote IN” connectors: DC In or AC In.
• If you have one device plugged into the “Remote IN – DC In”
connector, and another device plugged into the “Remote IN – AC
In” connector, then you have two remote triggers. In this case, both
remote trigger devices must be turned off in order to cut power to all
the switched outlets.
Switched Button
Pressing the front-panel “Switched” button does nothing.
Possible causes:
• If the front-panel display shows “Remote ON”, then you have
specified the use of the remote trigger feature. This disables the
“Switched” button since another device (e.g., preamp) is acting as a
remote to power the switched outlets on and off.
• If you do not want to use the remote trigger feature, then move the
rear-panel “Remote IN” slide-switch to “Off”.
