• When the function is set to DVD, TV/DBS or V.AUX and the 2-channel decode mode is set to the auto stereo mode, 2-channel sources are
played in 2-channel stereo.
• Applicable sources
• Digital inputs (TV/DBS and V.AUX functions, including DVD
playback discs)
Dolby Digital 2-channel sources (removing sources encoded
in Dolby Surround)
PCM 2-channel sources (include 96 kHz PCM)

Play a 2-channel source.
• The AUTO ST indicator lights.
AUTO ST Lit
✽ The mode can be changed during playback to the Dolby Pro
Logic II mode with the surround parameters.
NOTES:
• When Dolby Surround encoded signals are detected in Dolby
Digital 2-channel sources, the source is played in the Dolby Pro
Logic II according to the Dolby Pro Logic II mode setting. If the
signals are not encoded the source is played in the auto stereo
mode.
• DTS 2-channel sources are played in two channels in the DTS
mode, not in the auto stereo mode.
