Problem

No power is supplied.

Operation buttons such
as [REC] and [PLAY] do
not respond when
pressed.

No picture is shown
during playback.

Timer recording is not
possible.

The menu screen can’t
be displayed.

The date/time is not
shown on screen.

The date/time is not
recorded.

The timer indication
blinks.

Recording/playback is
not possible.

No sound in playback.

Skip search or direct
search is not possible.

Cause

● The power cord may be disconnected.

● The Operation Lock mode may be

engaged.

● The monitor may not be properly

connected.

● The selected camera may not be

transmitting a signal.

● The clock may not be set.

● The Timer Standby Mode may have

been turned off. Is the [TIMER]
indication lit?

● The timer program may not be set

correctly.

● The Timer Standby Mode may be

engaged. Is the [TIMER] indication lit?

● The Record, Play or Simultaneous Play

mode may be engaged.

● <ON SCREEN MODE> may be set to

“OFF”.

● The clock may not be set.

● Menu switch <TIME DATE REC> may

be set to “OFF”.

● The timer is not programmed or a set

program cannot be executed.

● There may not be enough space

available on the hard disk.

● Cameras may not be connected in

sync.

● <AUDIO REC> may not be “ON”.

● The clock may not be set correctly.

Possible solution

● Connect the provided power cord to a

120 V AC outlet.

● Release the Operation Lock mode.

● Connect the monitor correctly.

● Select the camera for recording.

● Check the clock setting.

● Press the [TIMER] button to engage the

Timer Recording Standby mode.

● Check the timer program settings. The

[TIMER] indication blinks if a program
cannot be executed.

● Press the [TIMER] button to release the

timer program.

● Stop the operation, then press the

[MENU] button.

● Set <ON SCREEN MODE> to “ON”.

● Set the clock.

● Set menu switch <TIME DATE REC> to

“ON”.

● Re-set the program timer.

● Re-format the hard disk to clear existing

data.

● Input the signals in sync.

● Set <AUDIO REC> to “ON”.
If <REC SPEED> is set to “1/5” or “1/

10”, audio signals cannot be recorded.

● Set the clock.
