7 PLAYBACK AND SPECIAL-EFFECTS PLAYBACK (contd.)
Jog playback allows you to view a recording one frame at a time while shuttle playback lets you vary playback speed. These
functions are useful when you want to find a specific scene or examine recorded images in more detail. The shuttle dial is the
outer ring and the jog dial is the inner dial.
Shuttle playback operation
1. Start playback.
Press the [PLAY] button to start playback.
2. Turn the shuttle dial.
To advance the recorded picture, turn the shuttle dial
clockwise (in the [FWD] direction). Search speed
increases when you turn the dial further.
To reverse the picture, turn the shuttle dial counterclock-
wise (in the [REV] direction).
3. Stop shuttle playback.
Press the [STOP], [STILL] or [PLAY] button to stop shuttle
playback. The operation starts according to the button
pressed.
Jog playback operation
1. Start playback.
Press the [PLAY] button to start playback.
2. Turn the jog dial.
To advance the recorded picture, turn the jog dial
clockwise (in the [FWD] direction). To reverse the picture,
turn the dial counterclockwise (in the [REV] direction).
While the jog dial is turned, frame-by-frame playback is
performed. When the dial is released, a still picture
playback is displayed.
3. Stop jog playback.
Press the [STOP] or [PLAY] button to stop jog playback.
The Stop or Play mode will be engaged.
