5. if replacing or removing the quartz tube remove the
threaded plastic collar at the base of the quartz sleeve
and remove the quartz tube.
Changing the UV bUlb
1. grip the base of the uV bulb and pull it free from the
4-pronged socket
2. replace uV bulb & quartz sleeve in the reverse order they
were removed.
Do not touch uV bulb with bare hands as the
oil from skin will reduce the bulbs performance
and lifespan.
use a clean tissue to wipe off any dirt or smudges on
the bulb and on the quartz tube. also, make sure there
is no moisture inside the quartz tube or on the bulb prior
to reassembly.
3. to reinstall the ballast slide the quartz tube into
the ultraKlear ® housing. Make sure to line up
ballast flange with the matching flange shape
on the ultraKlear
® housing.
