1 DIG (digital) / ANA (analog) (page 34)
Indicates whether the current input source is analog or
digital.
2 MULTI indicator (page 34)
Lights when the multichannel analog inputs are selected
as the input signal type for the
DVD input.
3 Hi-FS indicator
Lights when the current input signal is 88.2/96 kHz
digital.
4 SR+ indicator
Lights when the Control Mode Setting is set to SR+ ON
for a connected plasma display to control this receiver.
5 SOUND indicator (page 28)
Lights when one of the Sound Mode is active.
6 Sleep timer indicator (page 34)
Lights when the sleep timer has been set.
7 DIALOG indicator (page 28)
Lights when Dialog Enhancement is on.
8 Input/output channel indicators
The combined input/output indicators show at a glance
which channels are present in a source and the speakers
that are being used for the output.
The letters L , C , R , LFE , Ls and Rs indicate the input
channels coming into the receiver (left, center, right, low
frequency effect, left-surround and right-surround
respectively).
S lights in Dolby Surround or Surround
Monoaural and LS, S, RS lights when playing Dolby EX or
DTS-ES soundtracks.
The triangular segments and SW (subwoofer) indicate
the active speaker output channels.
9 VIR.SB indicator (page 29)
Lights when the Virtual Surround Back effect is on.
10 OVER indicator (page 38)
Lights when the input signal is too high, risking
distortion. Use the input attenuator to reduce the level.
11 Tuner indicators
STEREO (page 30)
Lights when listening to a stereo FM broadcast in
auto/stereo mode.
TUNED
Lights when tuned to a broadcast.
MONO (page 30)
Lights when the tuner MPX mode is set to mono.
RDS (page 31)
Lights when listening to a station that is
broadcasting RDS information.
RF ATT (page 30)
Lights when the RF attenuator is switched on.

13 EON indicators (page 33)
EON lights when EON is set. The dot indicator to the left
lights when the current broadcast carries the EON data
service.
14 Volume level indicator
Indicates the volume level in dB.
