About network functions

This unit can be connected to a network (LAN) to use the
functions below.

For details of the functions below, download the
“HD-V9000 Communications Interface User’s Manual”

Wake Up On LAN

This is a function for turning on this unit’s power via a
LAN. This unit’s

Wake Up On LAN setting to must be set

to

On (page 49).

FTP

This is a function for transferring video or still picture files
to the SD memory card or USB storage device connected
to this unit via the LAN. To use it, the FTP items at this
unit’s

Network Settings setting must be set (page 49).

Remote monitoring

This is a function for monitoring this unit’s status
remotely. To use it, this unit’s

Remote Port setting must

be set (page 49).

Command control by LAN

This function is for controlling this unit using the LAN
with the same commands as for serial control (page 65).

NTP

This function is for automatically accessing an NTP
server via LAN to acquire the time information and set
this unit’s time. An Internet connection is required
(page 49).

RSS

This function is for accessing RSS sites to display text
information (news, etc.) on the screen (Text Crawl).

Check the format of the data distributed by the RSS site.
This unit supports the formats below.

Supported formats: RSS 1.0, RSS 2.0 and Atom

Caution

• A separate contract with/payment to an Internet

service provider is required to use RSS and NTP
services over the Internet.
