Protecting from accidental erasure
✤ You can protect important images from accidental erasure.
■ If you execute the MEMORY FORMAT, all images including
protected images will be erased.
1. Set the mode switch to DSC.
2. Set the power switch to PLAYER mode.
■ The last recorded image appears.
■ If there are no recorded images on the Smart Media
Card, NO STORED IMAGE and MEM. will be blinking
on the screen.
3. Using the (MEM.+) and (MEM._) buttons, Search the still
image that you want to protect.
4. Press the MENU ON/OFF button.
5. Turn the MENU DIAL to highlight PROTECT SET and press ENTER.
6. To activate or deactivate the PROTECT mode,
press ENTER.
■ ON : To protect the viewing image.
- The protect indicator P appears on the
screen.
■ OFF : To release the protecting mode of viewing
image.
- The
P mark disappears on the screen.
■ RETURN: To return to main menu.
7. Using the (MEM.+) and (MEM._) buttons, search the still
image that you want to protect again.
■ Protect or release the image using step 6.
8. To exit the menu, press the MENU ON/OFF button.

Protection contre un effacement accidentel
✤ Vous pouvez protéger les images des effacements accidentels.
■ La fonction MEMORY FORMAT (formatage de la mémoire)
entraîne la suppression de toutes les images,
y compris les images protégées.
1. Placez le sélecteur de mode sur la position DSC.
2. Placez le commutateur sur la position PLAYER.
■ La dernière image enregistrée s'affiche.
■ Si la carte SmartMedia ne contient aucune image,
les messages NO STORED IMAGE et MEM
clignotent à l'écran.
3. A l'aide des touches (MEM.+) et (MEM.–),
recherchez l'image que vous souhaitez protéger.
4. Appuyez sur la touche MENU ON/OFF.
5. Al'aide de la molette MENU, placez l'option PROTECT SET en surbril-
lance, puis appuyez sur ENTER.
6. Pour activer ou désactiver le mode PROTECT,
appuyez sur la touche ENTER.
■ ON : permet de protéger l'image affichée.
- L'indicateur de protection
P apparaît à l'écran.
■ OFF : permet d'annuler la protection de l'image
affichée.
- L'indicateur de protection P disparaît de l'écran.
■ RETURN: permet de retourner au menu principal.
7. A l'aide des touches (MEM.+) et (MEM.–),
recherchez l'image que vous souhaitez protéger.
■ Activez ou désactivez la protection de l'image comme
indiqué à l'étape 6.
8. Pour quitter le menu, appuyez sur la touche MENU ON/OFF.
