Troubleshooting

If you run into any problems using the unit, use the
following table to troubleshoot the problem.

If the problem persists, consult your nearest Sony
dealer.

The ON/STANDBY indicator keeps flashing.

• Disconnect the power cord. Wait for more than 3

seconds and connect again.

"TEMPERATURE" is displayed.

• Change or clean the filter sponge (p. 24).
• Clean the filter holes so that they are not blocked.
• If the above remedy does not work, consult your

dealer.

"FAN" is displayed.

• Consult your dealer.

The unit does not turn on.

• Check the connection (p. 7 - 1 1 ) .
• Close the bulb cover properly.

No picture is projected.

• Check the connection (p. 7 - 1 1 ) .
• Select the input signal (p. 14).
• Select the RGB mode when using with a PC (p. 14).
• Check the connected source equipment.

• Remove the lens cap.

No picture is projected because the POWER button
is pressed while the LAMP indicator is flashing

• Disconnect the power cord and wait for more than 3

minutes. Then connect the power cord and turn on
the power.

The picture is dark.

• Adjust the picture (p. 17 - 23).
• Replace the bulb with a new one (p. 25).

The picture is unclear.

• Adjust the focus (p. 15).
• Synchronize the RGB signal (p. 19).

The picture is distorted

• Place the unit so that the lens is perpendicular to the

projected plane.

• Adjust the angle with the stand (p. 12)
