Troubleshooting Dépannage

You cannot switch the
Camcorder on.
Start/Stop button
does not operate
while recording.
The Camcorder shuts
off automatically.
Charge runs out
quickly.
When you see a blue
screen during
playback.
A vertical strip appears
on the screen when
recording a dark
background.
Auto focus does not
work.
Play, FF or REW
button does not work.
Check the Battery pack or the AC Power adapter.
Check the Power switch is set to CAMERA.
You have reached the end of the cassette.
Check the record protection tab on the cassette.
You have left the Camcorder set to STBY for more
than 5 minutes without using it.
The Battery pack is fully exhausted.
The atmospheric temperature is too low.
The Battery pack has not been charged fully.
The Battery pack is completely dead, and cannot be
recharged, Use another Battery pack.
The video heads may be dirty.
Clean the head with a cleaning tape.
The contrast between the subject and the background
is too great for the Camcorder to operate normally.
Make the background bright to reduce the contrast or
use the BLC function while you are recording.
The image in the
Viewfinder is blurred.
The Viewfinder lens has not been adjusted.
Adjust the Viewfinder control lever until the indicators
displayed on the Viewfinder come into sharp focus.
Check the Manual Focus menu.
Auto focus does not work in the Manual Focus mode.
Check the Power switch. Set the Power switch to PLAYER.
You have reached the beginning or end of the cassette.
When you see a
mosaic pattern
during playback
search. This is normal operation and it is not a failure or
defect.
The tape may be damaged. Replace the tape.
Cleaning the video heads (see page 112).

Vérifiez que l’interrupteur Power est placé sur CAMERA.
Vous avez atteint la fin de la cassette.
Vérifiez le volet de protection en écriture sur la cassette.
Vous avez laissé le caméscope réglé sur STBY pendant
plus de 5 minutes sans l’utiliser.
Le bloc-batterie est totalement usé.
Le bloc-batterie est rapidement usé.
La température de l'air est trop basse.
Le bloc-batterie n’a pas été rechargé complètement.
Le bloc-batterie est totalement épuisé et ne peut être rechargé.
Utilisez un autre bloc-batterie.
Les têtes vidéo sont peut-être sales.
Nettoyez les têtes avec une cassette de nettoyage.
Le contraste entre le sujet et l’arrière-plan est trop important
pour que le caméscope puisse fonctionner normalement.
Eclairez l’arrière-plan pour réduire le contraste ou utilisez la
fonction BLC tout en enregistrant avec un arrière-plan plus clair.
L’image dans le viseur
est floue.
L’objectif du viseur n’a pas été réglé.
Réglez la molette de commande du viseur jusqu’à ce que les
voyants affichés sur le viseur parviennent à une mise au point nette.
Vérifiez le menu de mise au point manuelle.
La mise au point automatique ne fonctionne pas en mode
Manual Focus <Mise au point manuelle>.
Vérifiez l’interrupteur Power. Placez l'interrupteur Power sur PLAYER.
Vous avez atteint le début ou la fin de la cassette.
Une image en forme
de mosaïque apparaît
en cours de lecture :
Cela correspond au fonctionnement normal et il ne
s’agit pas d’une panne ou d’un défaut.
la bande peut être endommagée ; remplacez-la ;
nettoyez les têtes vidéo. (voir p. 112)
