Formatting a Memory Card
✤ The Format function works only in <M.Player> mode. ➥page 19
✤ You can use the Format functions to completely delete all images
and options on the Memory Card, including protected images.
✤ The Format function restores the Memory Card to its initial state.
Attention
✤ If you execute the Format function, all images
will be erased completely and erased images
cannot be recovered.
1. Set the [Power] switch to [PLAYER].
2. Set the [Mode] switch to [CARD].
3. Press the [MENU] button.
■ The menu list will appear.
4. Press the [… … / † †] button to select <Memory>,
then press the [OK] button.
5. Press the [… … / † †] button to select <Format>, then
press the [OK] button.
■ A message <All files will be deleted!
Do you want to format?> is displayed.
6. Press the [… … / † †] button to select <Yes> or <No>,
then press the [OK] button.
■ <Complete !> is displayed when the format is
completed.
7. To exit, press the [MENU] button.
[ Notes ]
■ If you execute the Format function, all photo
images/moving images will be erased
completely and erased photo images/moving
images cannot be recovered.
■ Formatting the Memory Card using a different device
will cause Memory Card read errors.
■ Do not turn the power off in the middle of the
formatting.
■ A Memory Card with the protection tab set to save
will not be formatted.

■ Do not format the Memory Card on a PC.
<Not formatted !> message may appear if a Memory
Card formatted on a PC is inserted.

✤ Vous pouvez utiliser les fonctions de formatage pour supprimer
entièrement toutes les images et toutes les options sur la carte mémoire, y
compris les images protégées.
✤ La fonction Format (Formater) ramène la carte mémoire à son état initial.
Attention
✤ Si vous exécutez la fonction Format (Formater), toutes
les images seront effacées et ne pourront plus être
récupérées.
1. Placez l’interrupteur [Power] sur [PLAYER].
2. Placez l’interrupteur de [Mode] sur [CARD].
3. Appuyez sur la touche [MENU].
■ La liste des menus apparaîtra.
4. Appuyez sur la touche [… … / † †] pour sélectionner
<Memory>, puis appuyez sur la touche [OK].
5. Appuyez sur la touche [… … / † †] pour sélectionner
<Format>, puis appuyez sur la touche [OK].
■ Le message <All files will be deleted! Do you
want to format?> s'affiche.
6. Appuyez sur la touche [… … / † †] pour sélectionner
<Yes> ou <No>, puis appuyez sur la touche [OK].
■ <Complete !> s'affiche une fois le formatage
terminé.
7. Pour quitter le menu, appuyez sur la touche [MENU].
[ Remarques ]
■ En utilisant la fonction Format (Formater), vous
supprimez toutes les photos et tous les films
définitivement. Il est ensuite impossible de les
récupérer.
■ Une carte mémoire formatée dans un autre appareil
posera des problèmes de lecture.
■ N’éteignez pas l’appareil pendant le formatage.
■ Il n’est pas possible de formater une carte mémoire si
la languette de protection est en position de
sauvegarde.

■ Ne formatez pas la carte mémoire sur un ordinateur.
Le message <Not formatted !> peut s’afficher si une
carte mémoire a été insérée après avoir été formatée
sur un ordinateur.
