Tape Program Search (TPS)

Press button 4 (TPS) to select TPS mode. Press

or ►H as many

times as the number of programs you wish to skip. Then the tape is

ready for playing at the beginning of your selection.

TPS is kept displayed during TPS operation.

Example 1: To rewind the tape to the beginning of your current

selection

• Press button 4 (TPS) and press once.

Example 2: To rewind the tape to the beginning of the program

immediately preceding your current selection

• Press button 4 (TPS) and press twice.

Example 3: To wind the tape forward to the beginning of the next

program of your current selection

• Press button 4 (TPS) and press once.

Example 4: To wind the tape forward to the beginning of the third

program from your current selection

• Press button 4 (TPS) and press three times.

• Press button 4 (TPS) again to release the mode.

Note;

The TPS function may not properly work in the following cases. However, this does not mean anything faulty.

• A cassette tape has an unrecorded part less than 4 seconds long between programs

• Programs may have a part too low in sound level or a silent part (particularly if they are of classical music).

Notes on Cassette Tapes

Tape Slack:

Use a pencil or similar object to take up the slack as

shown. If a loose tape is used, this may result in the

tape becoming tangled in the rotating parts of the

unit.
