CDM-6000 CALIBRATION PR OCEDURE
A quick calibration verification can be done by supplying the CDM-6000 with out side air and
letting the reading stabilize. CO 2 concentrations in outside air are typically between 350 and
450 PPM. To adjust the calibration, follow the procedure below. Avoid breathing on the
sensor during calibration.
1. Unplug the patch cord (RJ-14 phone cord) from the bottom of the CDM-6000.
2. Remove the front cover of the unit. Locate the black adjustment buttons and the JP
jumper pins (see diagram below). The jumper-shorting block should be p arked on the
two JP5 pins.
3. Plug the CDM-6000 back into the CDDS-2 using the patch cord; allow two minutes for
the reading to stabilize.
4. Pull the shorting block from the JP5 pins and move it to the two JP2 pins.
5. Locate the version sticker on the chip in the upper left hand corner of the board.
If the sticker displays “ V600AL ”, the “ACTIVATED” LED light on the CDM-6000 should
be solid green (Please contact Green Air Products if the light is not lit at all).
If the version sticker displays “ V001L ”, the “ACTIVATED” LED should be blinking in
calibration mode (Please contact Green Air Products if the light is not lit at all).
6. Now check the reading on the CDDS-2 LED screen. The reading should be between
350-450. If not, use the ‘UP’ and ‘DOWN’ buttons (see diagram below) to adjust the
reading. Do not hold down the ‘UP’ or ‘DOWN’ buttons. Press either button, then
allow it to scale before pressing again as there is a slight delay (scale moves about 10
PPM with each press).
7. When the proper value is set, remove the shorting block from the JP2 pins, and place
it back on the two JP5 pins.
The green ‘ACTIVATED’ light on
the CDM-6000 will now blink.
This process will save the new
PPM value and reset the unit.
8. Wait 2-5 minutes to ensure
adjustments are within 350-450
range before re-installing
the cover.
A more accurate calibration requires
the use of calibration gas of known
concentration.
Calibration kits are available at your
local indoor gardening or hydroponic
retail store.

PROCÉDURE D’ÉTALONNAGE DU CDM-6000
Vous pouvez faire une vérification rapide de l’étalonnage en fournissant de l’air extérieur au CDM-
6000 et en laissant le relevé se stabiliser. Les concentrations de CO2 de l’air extérieur sont
normalement entre 350 et 450 PPM. Pour ajuster l’étalonnage, suivez la procédure plus bas.
Évitez
de respirer sur le détecteur pendant l’étalonnage.
1. Débranchez le cordon de raccordement (cordon téléphonique RJ-14) du bas du CDM-6000.
2. Retirez le couvercle avant de l’appareil. Trouvez les boutons d’ajustement noirs et les goupilles
du cavalier JP (voir le diagramme à droite). Le bloc à court-circuit du cavalier devrait être placé
sur les deux goupilles JP5.
3. Rebranchez le CDM-6000 dans le CDDS-2 en utilisant le cordon de raccordement et allouez
deux minutes pour que le relevé se stabilise.
4. Sortez le bloc de court-circuit des goupilles JP5 et déplacez-le aux deux goupilles JP2.
5. Le voyant « ACTIVÉ » sur le CDM-6000 devrait être d’un vert continu (il ne devrait pas
clignoter).
6. Vérifiez le relevé à l’écran DEL du CDDS-2. Le relevé devrait être entre 350 et 450. Sinon,
utilisez les boutons « HAUT » et « BAS » (voir le diagramme à droite) pour ajuster le relevé.
Ne tenez pas les boutons « HAUT », ou « BAS » enfoncés. Appuyez sur l’un des boutons,
puis laissez-le se déplacer avant d’enfoncer à nouveau car il pourrait y avoir un certain délai
(l’échelle se déplace à environ 10 PPM pour chaque enfoncement).
7. Lorsque la bonne valeur est réglée, retirez le bloc cour-circuit de goupilles JP2 et replacez-le
sur les deux goupilles JP5. Le voyant vert « ACTIVÉ » clignotera maintenant. Cette procédure
mettra la nouvelle valeur PPM en mémoire et réinitialisera l’appareil.
8. Attendez de 2 à 5 minutes pour assurer que les ajustements soient dans la plage de 350 à 450
avant de réinstaller le couvercle.
Pour une vérification d’étalonnage plus
exacte, il faut utiliser un gaz d’étalonnage
à la concentration connue.
