PROBLEM

Nothing works

The oven does not
work

The control knob(s) will
not turn

The Self-Cleaning cycle
will not operate

Cooling fan runs during
BAKE, BROIL, or
CLEAN

CAUSE/SOLUTION

The range is not plugged into a properly grounded live outlet with the proper
voltage. (See Installation Instructions.)

You have blown a household fuse or tripped a circuit breaker.

The control knob is not set correctly. Push in the control knobs before
turning them.

You have not set the electronic control correctly. Refer to setting the
electronic oven control section. (See pages 10-22.)

You are not pushing in before turning.

You have programmed a delayed start time.

The cooling fan is not running. If fan is running, you can hear it. Call a
service technician to repair.

It is normal for the fan to automatically run while the oven is in use to cool
the electronic control.

Most cooking problems often are caused by little things you can find and fix without tools of any
kind. Check the lists below and on the next page before calling for assistance or service.

PROBLEM

Burner fails to light

Burner flames are
uneven

Burner flames lift off
ports, are yellow, or are
noisy when turned off

Burner makes popping
noises when on

Burners spark

CAUSE/SOLUTION

The unit is not plugged in or wired into a live circuit or circuit with proper
voltage. (See installation instructions.)

A household fuse has blown or a circuit breaker has tripped.

The burner ports are clogged. Clean with a straight pin. (See page 30.)

The burner ports may be clogged. Clean with a straight pin. (See page 30.)
If this fails, call for service.

The air/gas mixture is incorrect. (See “Adjusting height of burner flame,”
page 30-31.) If this does not work, call service technician to adjust mixture.

The burner is wet from washing.

It is normal for all four burners to spark when:

— A burner has been turned on, and the switch is in the LITE position.

Continuous sparking may be caused when:

— There is a faulty spark module or spark switch. Contact a service

technician to replace module.
