BASIC OPERATIONS I/DEMARCHES DE BASE I
ORDINARY CD PLAYER OPERATIONS
To Pause Play
During playback, press the PLAY/PAUSE button (
6).
÷ The PLAY/PAUSE button’s indicator and CUE indicator
will flash, and play will be paused.
÷ When the PLAY/PAUSE button is pressed again, play will
resume and the button indicator will light steadily.
÷ Broken sound will still be audible during the standby
mode; if you wish to stop all sound, lower the output
sound volume on your audio mixer.
÷ When the unit has not been operated for 80 minutes or
more in pause mode, the disc rotation stops automati-
cally. In this instance, playback can be resumed by press-
ing the PLAY/PAUSE button.
Track Cueing
7 TRACK SEARCH buttons (4, ¢ )
Press one of the TRACK SEARCH buttons ( 4, ¢ ).
÷ Each time the button is pressed, the track is cued in
the direction corresponding to the arrow on the but-
ton (during playback of one track, to cue playback to
the beginning of the preceding track, press the

button twice).
÷ When the button is press down and held, cueing is
continuous. If the button is held for two seconds or
more, the cue speed increases.
÷ When the beginning of the first track (track 1) is reached,
pressing the 4 button will cue to the last track.
÷ When the end of the disc’s last track is reached, press-
ing the ¢ button will cue to the first track (track 1).
7 Super-Fast Track Search
Rotate the jog dial while pressing one of the TRACK
SEARCH buttons (
4, ¢ ).
÷ While holding either one of the buttons depressed,
rotate the dial in the direction corresponding to the
direction you wish to skip; the unit will enter the high-
speed skip mode, with the skip speed corresponding
to the amount the dial is ignored.
÷ The direction of skip is in accordance with the
direction in which the jog dial is rotated. ( the TRACK
SEARCH button direction is released. )
÷ The high-speed skip mode is canceled when the
TRACK SEARCH button is released.
Fast-Forward/Fast-Reverse
7 Operation using the SEARCH buttons
Press the SEARCH buttons ( 1, ¡) during playback.
Press and hold the ¡ button to fast forward the disc;
press and hold the 1 button to do fast reverse.
7 Super-Fast Search
Rotate the job dial while pressing one of the SEARCH
buttons (
1, ¡).
÷ Hold down the button while turning the Jog dial in the
direction you wish to search to enter fast forward or
fast reverse mode.
÷ The direction of the search is determined by the
direction the Jog dial is turned. The direction of the
SEARCH button is ignored.
÷ When you stop turning the Jog dial, the unit returns
to playback mode.
÷ Release the SEARCH button to exit this mode.

Recherche d’une plage
7 Touches TRACK SEARCH (4, ¢ )
Appuyer une fois sur les touches TRACK SEARCH (
4,
¢).
÷ A chaque poussée sur la touche, le lecteur recher-
che la plage dans le sens correspondant à la flèche
de la touche actionnée (pendant la lecture d’une
plage, pour ramener la lecture au début de la plage
précédente, appuyer deux fois sur la touche
4 ).
÷ Si on maintient la poussée sur la touche, la recherche
se poursuit. La vitesse de recherche s’accélère si la
poussée est maintenue pendant deux secondes ou plus.
÷ Quand le début de la première plage (Plage 1) est
atteint, une poussée sur la touche
4 fait passer la
recherche à la dernière plage.
÷ Quand la fin de la dernière plage est atteint, une
poussée sur la touche
¢ fait passer la recherche à
la première plage (Plage 1) du disque.
7 Recherche Super-Rapide de Plage
Tourner la molette tout en appuyant sur une des
touches TRACK SEARCH (
4, ¢ ).
÷ En maintenant une des touches enfoncées, tourner la
molette dans le sens correspondant à la direction où
vous voulez sauter des plages; l’appareil se place en
mode de saut à grande vitesse, celle-ci correspondant
au degré de rotation de la molette est ignorée.
÷ Le sens du saut correspond à la direction dans
laquelle la molette pas-à-pas est tournée. (La touche
TRACK SEARCH est relâchée.)
÷ Le mode de saut à grande vitesse est annulé lorsque
la touche TRACK SEARCH est relâchée.
Avance rapide / Recul rapide
7 Fonctionnement à l’aide des touches SEARCH.
Appuyer sur les touches SEARCH ( 1, ¡) pendant la
lecture.
Maintenir la poussée sur la touche
¡ pour effectuer
une avance rapide sur le disque, ou maintenir la poussée
sur la touche
1 pour un recul rapide.
7 Recherche Super-Rapide
Tourner la molette tout en appuyant sur une des
touches TRACK SEARCH (
1, ¡).
÷ Maintenir la poussée sur la touche tout en tournant la
molette dans le sens où vous voulez exécuter la recherche
pour entrer en mode d’avance rapide ou de recul rapide.
÷ Le sens de la recherche dépend de la direction dans
laquelle la molette est tournée. Le sens de la touche
SEARCH est ignoré.
÷ Dès qu’on cesse de tourner la molette, l’appareil
repasse en mode de lecture.
÷ Relâcher la touche SEARCH pour quitter ce mode.
