Water is

leaking or

dripping from

the dispenser

system
NOTE:

A

few drops of

water after

dispensing is

normal.

The glass was not held

under the dispenser long

enough.

Hold the glass under the

dispenser 2 to 3 seconds

after releasing the

dispenser pad.

The water filter was

recently installed or

replaced.

Flushing the water system

removes the air from the

lines which causes the

water dispenser to drip.

Flush the water system.

See “Flush the Water

System.”

The water

from the

dispenser

tastes bad

Water has not been

dispensed recently

(approx. 4 days).

Dispense and discard at

least 1 gallon of water.

The water filter needs to

be replaced.

Replace the water filter

when indicated.

Water from

the dispenser

is warm

The refrigerator has just

been installed.

Allow 24 hours after

installation for the water

supply to cool completely.

The refrigerator is not

connected to a cold water

pipe.

Make sure the refrigerator

is connected to a cold

water pipe.

A large amount of water

was recently dispensed.

Allow 3 hours for the water

supply to cool completely.

Water has not been

recently dispensed.

The first glass of water

may not be cool. Discard

the first glass of water

dispensed.

leaking

the pan under

the freezer

drawer

The refrigerator is

automatically defrosting

more frequently.

Empty the drip pan. Make

sure the refrigerator is

not overcrowded and that

stored food with a high

liquid content, such as

soups, are tightly sealed.

The doors or drawers are

not closed completely

allowing warm air to enter.

Make sure all doors

and drawers are closed

completely.
