Capture Board

Notes on installing the board

• Turn off the power on your PC and peripheral

equipment before installation. If you do not, the DV
capture board, PC and peripheral equipment may
be damaged.

• Be sure that the power requirements of installed

boards do not exceed the power supply rating. The

DV capture board requires a current of 0.6A,
maximum.
If you install other boards on your PC, refer to their
instruction manuals to check how much electrical

current each board requires.

Notes on removing the board

• When removing the board from your PC, refer to

the instruction manual for your PC. If you do not,
the DV capture board and PC may be damaged.

Notes on the board

• Do not touch components and connectors on the

board, or they may be damaged by static electricity.

If you need to touch the board, touch a metal object
such as a pipe to discharge the electricity before you
touch the board.

• Do not leave the board on a surface which is prone

to static electricity, for example, on the carpet. This
may damage the board.

• The board incorporates sophisticated electronic

parts. Do not drop or damage the board.

• Do not use or store this board in places subject to;

- Extremely high or low temperatures (storage

temperature range: -20°C to 60°C (^°F to

140°F))

- Rapid temperature changes
- High humidity
- Mechanical vibration or shock
- Excessive dust
- Direct sunlight
