Chapter 1 : INTRODUCTION
1-1. SUPPLIED EQUIPMENT
• 1 TRIPLIX ™ Remote Console (TRC8022).
• 1 AC Power supply cord.
• 3 Remote cables (DB9 M/F) 3 m / 10 ft.
• 1 "update" cable (DB9 F/F) 1.8 m / 6 ft.
NOTE: Take care of this cable, it is essential for updating the TRC8022. (See Chapter 6 : UPDATING THE
TRIPLIX ™ ).
• 1 User's manual.
1-2. GENERAL INFORMATION
TRIPLIX ™ enables to control up to 3 units of the powerful iX range of Seamless Switchers: DI-VENTIX ™ ,
EVENTIX ™ , CENTRIX ™ and NATIX ™ .
Up to 24 sources can be displayed upon 3 screens. All the sequences and effects of the iX machine(s) (cut, fade, titling,
PIP and wipe) can be synchronized or separately activated, automatically or with the T-Bar.
TRIPLIX
™ is compact, easy to use and to connect, and designed to integrate any 19" rack control room.
The combination of TRIPLIX ™ and an iX Seamless Switcher can be used together with Show Manager Open Edition
and Cross Blender for spectacular wide screen presentations.

1-4. INSTALLATION
• Table top mounting: The TRIPLIX ™ can be used directly on a table: the unit is equipped with 4 plastic feet.
• Rack mounting:
Compatible with a 19” enclosure (IEC 297), you can install the TRIPLIX ™ in a 19” cabinet (5
units height), by fixing 19” adaptors (not provided).
IMPORTANT: • The maximum ambient operating temperature must not exceed 40 °C (104 °F).
• The rack and all mounted equipment in it must be reliably grounded to national and
local electrical codes.
