Hands-Free Digital Duplex Speakerphone
The digital duplex speakerphone enhances your telephone
conversation. For best performance, please note the following:
• Use the speakerphone in a quiet room.
• Speak alternately with the caller.
• If the caller complains that your voice is hard to hear, press
[VOLUIVIEI V to decrease the speaker volume.
• If the other party’s voice from the speaker cuts in/out during a
conversation, press IVOLUMEl v to decrease the speaker volume.
To put a call on hold
Press I HOLD],
• The DIGITAL SP-PHONE indicator flashes.
• After 6 minutes, a warning tone will sound.
After a total of 10 minutes, the call will be disconnected.
To release the hold
For the base unit, press [DIGITAL SP-PHONEl
For the handset, press ITALK] or lift the handset off the base unit.
• If another phone is connected on the same line (p. 67), you can also
release the hold by lifting that handset.
To select the base unit ringer volume
Set the RINGER selector to HIGH, LOW, or OFF.
• When set to OFF, the base unit will not ring.
