Troubleshooting Guide

The following checklist will assist in the correction of most problems which you may encounter with your unit.
Before going through the checklist below, refer to the cormection and operating procedures.

Problem

Cause/Soiirtion

The POWER/PROTECTOR

The hise is blown. —

R^lace die fuse with a new one.

indicator does hot light up.

The ground lead is not securely connected.

Fasten the ground lead securely to

The voltage going into the remote terminal is too low.

The connected master unit is not turned on. —

Turn on the master unit.

The s^tem en^loys too many amplifiers.

Use a relay.

Check the battery voltage (105

The OVER CURRENT indicator lights
up in red.

Turn off the power switdi. The speaker outputs are short-drcuited.

securely omnected.

• Use speakers with suitable impedance (2 to 8 ohms).
• Make sure to place the unit in a well ventilated location.

Alternator noise is heard.

The power ccmnecting leads are installed too dose to the RCA pin cords. I<teep
the l^ds away from the cords.

The ground lead is not securely connected. Fas^ the ground lead securely to

a

metal surfiice of die car.

Negative weaker leads are touching die car chassis.

Keep die leads away

from die car chassis.

The sound is muffled.

The FILTER sdector switoh is set to die "LPF" position.

The sound is too low.

The LEVEL adjustment control is set to the "MIN" position.

No sound is heard.

The FILTER selector switch is settled between settings (i.e., not correctly set); set
the switidi properly.

No test tone is heard wlien the TEST
TONE button is pressed.

The wiring is not properly connected. —

Check the connections and re-wire

accordingly.
